- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup (150 grams) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (115 grams) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120 ml) plain full-fat yogurt
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- ¼ cup (50 grams) brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan and grease it lightly.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and yogurt until smooth.
- Stir in the diced apples gently.
- Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or a simple glaze for extra sweetness. Can be varied with nuts or dried fruit.
