Description

A classic cocktail featuring a delightful mix of bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a beautiful layer of red wine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cl Bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 2 cl Lemon juice
  • 1 cl Simple syrup
  • 1.5 cl Red wine
  • Foamer of your choice (egg white or aquafaba)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your gear: Grab a cocktail shaker and a fine-mesh strainer. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  2. Mix the cocktail: Combine bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup in the shaker.
  3. Foam it up: If using a foamer, pour it in and shake without ice for 15 seconds.
  4. Add ice and shake again for about 10-15 seconds until it’s chilled.
  5. Strain and serve: Pour the mixture into the rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  6. Top with red wine: Float it over the back of a spoon onto the drink.
  7. Garnish: Finish with a lemon wheel or cherry.

Notes

Adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if too sour. Use chilled ingredients for the best sipping experience.
