Description
A deliciously crispy and tangy dish featuring chicken coated in a flavorful sauce, perfect for a comforting meal at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Chicken Breasts (Cubed)
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour (or Cornstarch)
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup White Distilled Vinegar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 6 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Flakes (Optional)
Instructions
- Prep Your Chicken: Cut your chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes. Marinate with soy sauce and garlic salt for about 30 minutes for more flavor.
- Coat the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine flour (or cornstarch) with paprika and a pinch of salt. Dredge the chicken pieces in this mixture.
- Heat Your Oil: Pour enough oil into a large skillet to cover the bottom and heat over medium-high.
- Fry the Chicken: Add the chicken in batches, cooking until golden brown on all sides (about 5-7 minutes).
- Make the Sauce: In a separate saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, and salt over medium heat until sugar dissolves and simmers until thickened.
- Combine: Remove the chicken and drain excess oil. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet, add chicken, and toss until coated.
- Serve Hot: Let simmer for a minute to absorb flavors, then serve over rice or veggies.
Notes
For extra crunch, double-dip your chicken in the flour mixture. Adjust the spice level by adding more chili flakes if desired.
