Description

A quick and easy classic crispy club sandwich layered with savory fillings and served on toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 3 slices thick-cut white or whole wheat sandwich bread
  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey breast
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced ham
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • Crisp Romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pickles or avocado slices

Instructions

  1. Toast your bread slices until they’re golden brown and crisp.
  2. Cook the bacon strips until they’re nice and crispy.
  3. Grab one slice of toasted bread and start layering with mayonnaise, lettuce, turkey, cheese, and tomato.
  4. Top it off with bacon and ham, and add another slice of bread.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard on the second layer and repeat with lettuce, turkey, cheese, and tomato.
  6. Finish with the final slice of toasted bread.
  7. Slice your sandwich into quarters or halves and serve.

Notes

For additional flavor, brush the bread slices with olive oil before toasting.
