Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars: In another bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the milk gradually until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
