Description

A refreshing twist on classic iced tea with mint and lime flavors, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • Ice (as needed)
  • Mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the water by bringing it to a near boil in a pot or kettle.
  2. Steep the tea by adding the tea bags to the hot water and letting them steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the mint leaves to the tea and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. Sweeten the mixture by removing the tea bags and mint leaves, then stir in sugar until dissolved.
  5. Add lime juice to the sweetened tea, blending well.
  6. Chill the tea until it cools to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least an hour.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with mint sprigs and lime slices.

Notes

This drink can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for 3-5 days. Adjust sweetness according to taste.
