Description

A refreshing Southern Fresh Peach Iced Tea bursting with sweet peach flavor, perfect for summertime gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 large fresh peaches (diced)
  • 5 cups water (divided)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
  • 23 family-size tea bags

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Peaches: Wash the peaches, slice in half, remove the pit, and dice into small cubes. Set aside.
  2. Boil Water for Tea: In a large pot, bring 3 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  3. Steep the Tea: Add tea bags to the pot. Remove from heat and steep for 5-8 minutes.
  4. Sweeten It Up: In a saucepan, combine diced peaches, 2 cups of sugar, and 1 cup of water. Heat until sugar dissolves and peaches soften.
  5. Combine the Flavors: Remove tea bags, pour peach syrup into the tea, and optionally strain.
  6. Add Lemon Zest (Optional): Stir in lemon zest.
  7. Chill It Down: Fill your pitcher with ice and add the tea mixture, topping off with cold water.
  8. Serve & Enjoy: Pour into glasses and garnish with peach slices or mint leaves.
