Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Jumbo Pasta Shells
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Cups Marinara Sauce

  2. Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain and rinse.
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing ground beef, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Fill each shell generously with the mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Assemble the dish by pouring marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkling the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Customize the filling with different proteins or add vegetables for variety. Freezes well before baking.
