Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

Instructions

  1. Prep your station: Gather all your ingredients and tools.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in skillet, add chicken, and sear until golden brown (6-8 minutes).
  3. Sauté the aromatics: Remove chicken, add butter and diced onion, sauté for 5 minutes, then add garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Build the sauce: Pour in tomato sauce, stir in heavy cream, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken: Add chicken back, reduce heat, and stir in yogurt, sugar, black pepper, and cayenne (if using). Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Finishing touches: Stir in garam masala and simmer for another minute.
