Description

Delicious Korean Chicken Breasts marinated in a flavorful sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger, Grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey or Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Steamed Rice (for serving)
  • Steamed Vegetables (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and honey. Whisk it all together until well mixed.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Seal the bag or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat Your Pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil until it shimmers.
  4. Sear the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Make the Sauce: Remove the chicken from the skillet, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet, and simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the Chicken: Slice the chicken breasts, spoon the warm sauce over the top, and serve with rice and steamed vegetables.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate overnight. You can substitute half of the soy sauce with fresh orange juice for a citrus twist.
