- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup plain all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon fine salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, finely minced
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken stock
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prep your chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge in flour: Coat each breast in flour and shake off excess.
- Heat the pan: Melt 3 tablespoons of butter with olive oil over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken: Add chicken breasts and cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip and cook through: Cook the other side for another 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Create the sauce: Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté; then add white wine.
- Add stock and cream: Stir in chicken stock and cream; let simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Return chicken to the pan: Spoon sauce over the chicken and add remaining butter and parsley.
- Taste and adjust: Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot: Plate the chicken with sauce and garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
