- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt 1/2 cup of butter over low heat in a medium saucepan.
- Mix in 1 cup of sugar until well combined.
- Add in 2 large eggs, one at a time, and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- Cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
