Description

Delicious and crispy fried chicken wings, perfect for game nights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 17 fl oz vegetable or canola oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 whole egg

Instructions

  1. Start by rinsing your chicken wings under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg until frothy. Dip the seasoned wings in the egg mixture.
  4. Now, toss the egg-coated wings into the flour, ensuring they’re completely covered.
  5. In a heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer, heat your oil over medium-high heat to around 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully lower the coated wings into the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Once fried, use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve your crispy fried chicken wings hot, with your favorite dipping sauces on the side.

Notes

For a healthier version, you can bake the wings at 425°F (220°C) for about 40-45 minutes.
