Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon (or turkey bacon)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., parsley or thyme)
  • Toothpicks for securing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by flattening to 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Season both sides with black pepper and garlic powder.
  4. Spread cream cheese on one side of the chicken breast.
  5. Add cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Wrap the chicken tightly, starting from the end with cheese.
  7. Secure with bacon slices and toothpicks.
  8. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and bacon is crispy.
  10. Rest for a few minutes before serving.
